the maximum offset I could make manually is 5.(apliats)
Yeah, I'm not sure what's wrong with it. I changed the values in my condition for when datalen - *offset == fieldlen (which in this case this is the exact situation we are occuring here) and it isn't changing my offset value while in there. It's still changing my curpos value, but otherwise it isn't working for whatever reason (Matthew).
