Instructions

1. Download the latest nightly for:

• Windows
• Mac
• Linux 32-bit
• Linux 64-bit

2. Install and run Songbird

3. Complete the first run process accepting all defaults

4. Navigate to this link in Songbird

5. Click the link for the version of Birdtorrent you wish to install

6. Click INSTALL

7. Restart Songbird

8. Click Tools > Show Libtorrent Version

9. Record the result using the guidelines below

Guidelines

Date

• Please use D-Mon-YYYY format
• Example: 1-Jan-2010

IRC Nick

• Please use whatever nickname you use on IRC
• If you do not use IRC or do not wish to be identified, please put <anonymous>

Platform

Please use the following format:

Windows XP

• Windows XP SP<service_pack_version> <bit_architecture>-bit
• Example: Windows XP SP3 32-bit

Windows Vista

• Windows Vista <edition> SP<service_pack_version> <bit_architecture>-bit
• Example: Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Mac OS X

• Mac OS X <release> <version> <architecture>
• Example: Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5 i686

Linux

• <distro> <version> <bit_architecture>-bit <architecture>
• Example: Ubuntu 8.04 32-bit i386

Songbird Version

• Use the version number from Songbird About dialog
  • Click Help > About Songbird
  • Copy the all text in the titlebar after "Version: "

Addon Version

• Click Tools > Addons
• Use the version of the add-on listed
• Example: Birdtorrent 0.1pre

Result

• Click Tools > Show Libtorrent Version
• Copy the message that appears
• Example: Compiled with libtorrent 0.12.2
• If you get an error, copy the error message
• If you see nothing
  • Click Tools > Error Console
  • Click Clear
  • Click the main Songbird window (keep Error Console in view)
  • Click Tools > Show Libtorrent Version
  • Copy any errors that appear (Note: They should reference birdtorrent)
