Summary

This property allows you to set the style of an element's bottom border.

Syntax

TARGET_ELEMENT{border-bottom-style: value;}

Legal Values

  • none Defines no border
  • hidden - same as "none", except in border conflict resolution for table elements
  • dotted - dotted border.
  • dashed - dashed border.
  • solid - solid border
  • double - Specifies two borders. The width of the two borders are the same as the border-width value
  • groove - 3D grooved border. The effect depends on the border-color value
  • ridge - 3D ridged border. The effect depends on the border-color value
  • inset - 3D inset border. The effect depends on the border-color value
  • outset - 3D outset border. The effect depends on the border-color value

Notes

There are some rendering issues where dotted as well as dashed renders as solid in most browsers.
