Mozilla developers, especially Extension Developers, could benefit from having a scriptable XPCOM object for creating and manipulating APNG files (e.g., creating frames, setting frame timings, etc.). Andrew has written an [http://littlesvr.ca/apng/tutorial/book1.html APNG tutorial and example code], which could be used as the basis of such a project.
