Video Capture Station Set up for 2010 FSOSS

  • Hardware: DELL Inspiron 6400 Laptop
    • Main Memory: 2048MB
    • 160GB Harddisk - share between Window7 and Fedora13

OS Installation

  • Install from Fedora 13 64bit DVD - Kernel version:
  • run yum update after initial installation
  • reboot system - updated kernel version:

Video Capturing Application Installation

  • install freeseer - latest version 1.9.7

Video Capturing Hardware driver Installation

  • install vga2usb driver
  • configure vga2usb loadable module parameters
