Setup a Virtual Local Area Networking Using FC11

  • Install FC11 64-bit version with Virtualization Packages
  • Create Three Virtual Machines, each with 8GB of disk space, 1G Memory, 1CPU
  • Install CentOS5.x on each VM with at least the following packages:
    • NFS
    • NIS
    • DNS
    • DHCP
    • Postfix
    • OpenLDAP
  • CentOS 5.x configuration:
    • Enable iptables
    • Create a regular user account
    • Disable SELinux
  • Collect the following information:
    • IP address of the host OS (FC11) assigned to the virtual network
    • Name of the device used by the host OS to connect to the virtual network
    • IP address, netmask, and gateway for each guest OS
    • Name of the device used by echo guest OS to connect to the virtual network
