The network diagram for OPS535 labs

Each students' host machine has access to the outside world (i.e. the internet) based on what their own network or ISP provides. They also have a virtual network (192.168.x.0/24) connecting their host machine to their VMs, and to the outside world. Each student also has a second virtual network (192.168.(x+100).0/24) that is only accessible by their own machines. This is the virtual network that is created in the pre-lab, and is used to provide services that we want to be available to our own users only. Each student has a third virtual network, (192.168.(x+200).0/24 that will connect their assignment machines to their host, and through it to the lab network and the internet.
