This subject introduces students to Unix, Linux and the Internet: :* Students will learn to be proficient on the command line. :* Students will do this work in Unix and Linux environments, at the same time learning to configure their login accounts, manipulate data stored in files, effectively use Unix commands and utilities, and write simple shell scripts. === CNS/CTY Changes =Learning by Doing ==* Structure Most of a BASH script** #!the learning in this course occurs through '''classroom instruction''' <u>and</binu> completion of '''2 major online labs''' (each consisting of multiple sections/bashtopics). This means that you can install it as many times as you want on as many different computers as you would like. It also means that you can tinker with it -- you can take it apart, see how it works, and put it back together in the same or a different way, limited only by your time and ambition.
