The computer lab can vary from "basics" where thin clients are placed on cheap used tables, or "impressive looking" computer labs where a great deal of time and effort are made to design and build desks, etc...
Based on my experience setting up LTSP computer labs, several consideration should be made prior to setting up the lab:

* Determine the maximum number of workstations required. This will allow you to determine the amount of RAM required for the server (rule: 128 Mb per thin client). This will also allow you to determine the number of ports for a switch (generally, a switch is designed to operate more efficiently than a multi-port router).
* Check the power availability for the computer lab. Number of outlets. How clean is the electrical power. Will power outlets be required? WHich are the better power outlets?
