I searched for a dataset online which is formatted in XML, which contains the live information of all the festivals and events that take place in the city of Toronto.
Dataset name is “Festivals & Events”, available at this link: http://www1.toronto.ca/wps/portal/contentonly?vgnextoid=1a66e03bb8d1e310VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD#F
After navigating to the link above: Click on “Festivals & Events”, and then in the “Data” section: click on “Festivals and Events XML Feed” which will take you to the actual XML data.
My Proposal:
User will be able to search for a festival/event
- - Display event name, location, start date and end date of event, phone number, etc…
Add a festival/event to “Favorite List”
List of Upcoming Events (For next week or for next 2 weeks)
