Audio Tutorials
Purpose
The purpose of this WIKI is to provide links to various WIKIs and resources to help users create audio products from the Westminster Computer Lab.
There are several applications that can be used to assist in making audio products:
- Audacity (Multitrack recording)
- Ardour (Multitrack recording - more complex)
- Hydrogen (Drum Machine)
- Bristol (Organ Emulator)
- Qsynth (keyboard emulator - sound fonts)
NOTE: For full effect, a USB / Midi interface is required to allow musical instruments (midi keyboard, Electric Guitar, XLR Microphone) to record onto computer. The Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) is an audio server that runs to connect or patch all instruments for recording.
