Anatoly Spektor (Latvian Spelling: Anatolijs Spektors, Russian: Анатoлий Спектор) is a Blogger, Web Developer and Software Engineer. Currently enrolled in Seneca College of Art and Technology CPAC (Computer Programming and Analysis Co-op), where he also worked in a position of a Web Developer. Currently Anatoly is working as Software Engineer in Red Hat as part of Eclipse team. Anatoly is also involved in several start-up web projects. In April 2013 wrote a book on Eclipse Application Testing.

      Anatoly is known in Online community under many nicknames. His bloggin, scripting and chatting career started in early 2000 with IRC nick Goldstar .
      Last few years Anatoly has became a frequent twitter blogger. In 2 years he has tweeted more than 1400 tweets. His bilingual twitter account (Russian and English) is public, so everyone can read his tweets without having to register in Twitter.

      Being a huge cooking fan Anatoly is frequently posting pictures of dishes, restaurant reviews and recipes.
      Also being a big technology fan, Anatoly shares interesting information on different companies and their products in his twitter and blog.
      In 2010 Anatoly opened his first professional blog: Anatoly's Programing Blog where he shares his programming experience. Blog is updated weekly

      In 2011 Anatoly started category Project Big Blue Button in his Programing Blog
      It increased blog traffic by 200%. In October 2011 blog was visited by 2000 people.
      In 2 years blog has been visited by more than 100 000 people.
      In October 2011 Anatoly opened his public LinkedIn account where he publicly shares his work experience and projects with friends, colleagues and potential employers.

      Work


      One of the first, and most successful projects of Anatoly was Latvian Torrent Tracker Fat.lv (closed). Together with the founder of Fat.lv Anatoly increased websites traffic from hundred to ten thousand daily visitors, and more than hundred thousand registered users, making [ http://fat.lv] second torrent tracker in Latvia by the amount of visitors and registered users.

      In May 2009 Anatoly was involved as a Web Developer and SEO in a Confidential Project, that gave him valuable experience d web development techniques.
      In January 2011 Anatoly, with his colleague from Seneca started start-up web project with code name Sparb. Project is temporarily stop due lack of time.

      In September 2011 Anatoly started internship semester as a Web Developer in Seneca Center for Development of Open Technology, working on a collaborative project between Seneca and Big Blue Button on creating powerful online class management system. After 4 month internship, Anatoly was hired by CDOT to continue his work on Big Blue Button.

      In May 2012 Anatoly started his work as Software Engineer in Red Hat Canada working as part of Eclipse team on migration of Eclipse's Standard Widget Toolkit from Gtk+ 2.x to Gtk+ 3.x. This worked required knowledge of multiple graphic libraries (GTK+, glib, Cairo, X11), use of JNI (Convert Java code into C), multiple programming languages(C/Java/Bash/xml), knowledge of compilers and much more.

      In September 2012 Anatoly's work resulted in successfully building Eclipse on top of GTK+ 3 without any compilation problems (More than 300 compilation errors were resolved). He contributed more than 3 thousand lines to Eclipse platform's source code.

      In April 2013 Anatoly co-operated with Packt Publishing and wrote a book on InstantEclipse Testing How-to which is available in 120 countries.
