Project Description

Testing and support would be taking place for beagleboard. The Beagle Board is a low-cost, fan-less single-board computer based on TI OMAP3530 processor (ARM Cortex-A8 Core ~600MHz + TMS320C64x+ DSP ~430MHz), with all of the expandability of today's desktop machines, but without the bulk, expense, or noise.

BeagleBoard-xM delivers extra ARM Cortex-A8 MHz and extra memory with 512MB of low-power DDR RAM, enabling hobbyists, innovators and engineers to go beyond their current imagination and be inspired by the BeagleBoard.org community.

Goals for each release:

 Beagle Board - To get necessary drivers and modules to work with Fedora 12
 Guru Plug    - To get wireless working on fedora 12
 Open RD      - To get access to device


  • 0.2
 Beagle Board - Build a kernel and necessary modules
 Guru Plug    - Building and Packaging of uImage, and modules - wireless lan for 2.6.36.1 kernel
 Open RD      - To get video output from device. Repack video drivers from fc8


  • 0.3
 Beagle Board - Package uImage, modules, kernel source and upload them to Scotland.proximity.on.ca
 Guru Plug    - Building and Packaging wireless access point module for 2.6.36.1 kernel
 Open RD      - Testing, Uploading to repository (*+)

Project News

The price that I have found out for Beagle Board is $150. It's definitely not too expensive for what it can actually do or act like.
