ULI101 Course Delivery Resources

Slides (Notes):

Slides will be in pptx and pdf formats and are subdivided into each lesson for each week (lesson 1 and lesson 2)
Slides are available in PowerPoint (pptx) and Portable Document File (PDF) formats for each week. These slides are subdivided into each lesson for each week (lesson 1 and lesson 2).

Each lesson slide contains at the end a "tie-in" for each portion of the online tutorial INVESTIGATION(s) to perform prior to a required due date (following week) for required marks.

Online tutorial marks are to replace ULI101 assignment framework
which is due to be retired at the end of the Winter 2022 semester
.

YouTube Videos (Notes):

YouTube videos can be used as an alternative delivery method to notes or to further support existing course slides
There are a series of YouTube videos (for each week) that have been created as an alternative delivery method to notes or to provide an additional visual resource for students in addition to course slides.

These YouTube videos are created and maintained by Eric Brauer who is a professor at Seneca College.

Online Tutorials (11):

Online Tutorials are expected to replace the traditional 3 assignment framework. There will be a total of 11 online tutorials that students are assigned each week and expected to complete and submit by Friday of the prior week for a 2% grade.

A report script called ~uli101/tutorialCheck has been created to create successful completion of online tutorial checking scripts within a specified due date.
Online Tutorials are expected to replace the traditional 3 assignment framework. There will be a total of 11 online tutorials that students are assigned each week and expected to complete and submit by Friday of the prior week for a 2% grade. There online tutorials are designed to provide students with more timely "hands-on" experience, feedback and trouble-shooting skills.

NOTE: There is no facility for changing the due dates from the online tutorials since it is based on a scripting framework and is designed to require students to immediately reinforce "hands-on" experience which is essential to the student.

A report script called ~uli101/tutorialCheck has been created to create successful completion of online tutorial checking scripts within a specified due date. The usage of this checking program works in a similar fashion at the ~uli101/marks program and allows for both combined marks and individualized marks for each weekly tutorial.

Here is a table of weekly online tutorials and due dates to receive marks:
