Following-on from the discussion last class, we will participate in a Community Test Day. Mozilla is releasing a new version of Firefox 1.5 (1.5.0.8) and needs help testing it.

Please do the following:

  1. Check out the Community Test Day web page.
  2. Join the #testday channel. Chat with the moderators if you find bugs, have questions, etc.
  3. Download and unpack/install Firefox 1.5.0.8 RC2 (Win32, Linux, Mac). You should run Firefox with a new profile and set up your environment so that you can run different versions of the browser at the same time:
> set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1
> firefox -profileManager
  1. Create a Litmus Account
  2. Start testing things, focusing on the things that need testing.

When you're done, send feedback to the QA team by email: testday@mozilla.org.
