Guidelines

  • Get a user account on a Fedora machine at CDOT. You could install Fedora 12 on your own desktop or laptop.
  • Install OpenJDK on the Fedora machine.
    • You need a little bit of Linux to set the environment variables properly.
  • Install Eclipse on Fedora.
  • Visit the Download page on www.eclipse.org/linuxtools.
    READ the Download and installation instructions on the Eclipse Linux Tools wiki.
  • Install the* Eclipse Linux Tools project on the Fedora machine.
    • You will encounter problems if you have not installed OpenJDK on the Fedora machine.
