Due: in the lab period, need professor sign-off.

  1. Follow all the steps in the "Using Google Maps" section from this week's lecture so that you have a working application that displays a Google Map.
  2. In the same app follow the necessary steps from the "Getting your location" section from this week's lecture so that you are given a location (actual or fake, depending on what device you're using).
  3. Have your map display a pin in your location, and if your location changes - move the pin. This will be a little harder to do with a real device.

When you're done I want to see:

  • Your app running,
  • How you control the location reporting, and
  • The source code for your activity.
