I just thought this information would be useful when using IRC especially when setting it up for the first.
Clients to connect to a network:
Chatzila (Firefox extension) Xchat Irssi
IRC Networks:
Freenode (Used by Fedora, Open Office, X.org, etc) Moznet (Mozilla) The Open and Fee Technology Community (Used by Gcc, django, etc)
To join a channel: /join #ChannelName
Some commands:
/nick NewNickname /topic /names /query Nickname (open a private channel the person) /leave
