Guidelines
- Get a user account on a Fedora machine at CDOT. You could install Fedora 12 on your own desktop or laptop.
- Install OpenJDK on the Fedora machine.
- You need a little bit of Linux to set the environment variables properly.
- Install Eclipse on Fedora.
- You will encounter problems if you have not installed OpenJDK on the Fedora machine.
- Visit the Download page on www.eclipse.org/linuxtools. Read the Download and installation instructions on the Eclipse Linux Tools wiki.
- Install the Eclipse Linux Tools project on the Fedora machine.
- Advice: It's unlikely that you will get it right for the first time. Keep trying and you will make it in the end!
- Test your installation.
