The new ORI equipment has arrived! Let's get it configured. Tuesday, February 19 is Config Day -- if you have some available time, please come down to the ORI area and help set things up. OSD600 will be held in the ORI space on that day.
Goals:
* Get each of the PCs configured for dual-boot (Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Fedora Core 8) and configure dual-screen video for each OS * Install the toolchain required to build mozilla on each platform (Win/Linux/Mac) * Perform a test build on each platform
PC Partitioning:
Drives are ~500 GB
* Partition 1: 150 GB NTFS containing XP SP2 * Partition 2: 100 GB NTFS containing Vista * Partition 3: 100 MB Linux boot partition * Partitions 4-8: 25 GB Linux LVM PVs
Linux LVM PV layout:
* 50 GB / filesystem (ext3) * 1 GB /etc filesystem * 80 GB /home filesystem (ext3) * 50 GB /var filesystem
Software to be installed:
* Bulid tools required for Mozilla build * Current version of FF2 and TB
