Following-on from the discussion last class, we will participate in a Community Test Day.  Mozilla is releasing a new version of Firefox 1.5 (1.5.0.8) and needs help testing it.

Please do the following:

# Check out the [http://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozilla_QA_Community:1.5.0.8_Community_Test_Day Community Test Day web page].
# Join the #testday channel.  Chat with the moderators if you find bugs, have questions, etc.
# Download and unpack/install [http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/1.5.0.8-candidates/rc2/ Firefox 1.5.0.8 RC2] ([http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/1.5.0.8-candidates/rc2/firefox-1.5.0.8.en-US.win32.zip Win32], [http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/1.5.0.8-candidates/rc2/firefox-1.5.0.8.en-US.linux-i686.tar.gz Linux], [http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/1.5.0.8-candidates/rc2/firefox-1.5.0.8.en-US.mac.dmg Mac]).  You should run Firefox with a new profile and set up your environment so that you can run different versions of the browser at the same time:

 > set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1
 > firefox -profileManager

# Create a [http://litmus.mozilla.org/ Litmus] [http://litmus.mozilla.org/login.cgi Account]
# Start testing things, focusing on the [http://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozilla_QA_Community:1.5.0.8_Community_Test_Day#What_needs_to_be_tested.3F things that need testing].
